Co-Founder

Trauma Specialist

Ali Pierucci is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a diverse background across the mental health field. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Lewis and Clark College and completed her Master’s in Social Work in Washington, D.C. Her clinical journey has included work in community mental health centers, shelters, hospitals, treatment programs, and private practice—giving her a wide-ranging perspective on the systems and supports that shape mental wellness.

Ali is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and is actively working toward becoming an EMDR consultant and trainer. She also holds advanced training in Brainspotting, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other trauma-informed modalities.

At Denver Health Medical Center, Ali supported individuals on the inpatient psychiatric unit as they navigated acute psychiatric and medical challenges. She later served as a manager for a step-down residential program at the Mental Health Center of Denver (now WellPower), helping clients with chronic and persistent mental illness build independent living skills within supported housing.

Ali believes that healing happens through connection—and that meaningful community engagement is essential for addressing the unmet psychosocial needs that often stand in the way of healing.

As a Program Coordinator at College Living Experience, Ali helped develop an innovative case management model for neurodiverse and exceptional young adults. Her work focused on providing wrap-around support to help students live well and thrive in college settings.

In addition to her clinical and leadership roles, Ali has contracted with inpatient, outpatient, and sober living programs, specializing in the treatment of substance use disorders. Most recently, she has run a full-time private practice focused on supporting survivors of trauma and loss.

Ali believes deeply in the power of human connection as a foundation for healing. She is committed to helping clients strengthen their sense of agency and autonomy while addressing the psychosocial needs that can be obstacles to lasting wellness.

Originally from Connecticut, Ali has lived all over the country—from Portland, Oregon to Washington, D.C.—and brings a rich, multicultural lens to her work. When she’s not at Sanare, you can find her roller skating, traveling with her husband, sharing good food with friends, or getting lost in a great book.
