Brian Reiff, BFA
Social Work Intern
Brian Reiff is pursuing his Master of Social Work at the University of Denver, with a focus on substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions, and trauma-informed, person-centered care. He completed his field placement at a residential substance use treatment center in Denver, where he worked closely with clients as they moved through the recovery process in a structured, supportive environment.
Brian graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami and brings extensive professional experience in hospitality management in New York City and Denver, along with a background in the entertainment industry. These experiences shape his straightforward, relational style, strong communication skills, and commitment to supporting clients in ways that meet them where they are.
Brian sees mental health and substance use challenges as complex, human experiences rather than problems to be fixed, and he believes progress is built through honest conversations, realistic goals, and small, sustainable steps forward.
In his work, Brian takes a practical, collaborative approach grounded in harm reduction, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and 12-step–informed perspectives. He works alongside clients to set realistic goals, build usable skills, and take meaningful steps toward change that fit their lives.
Outside of work, Brian enjoys spending time with his dogs, skiing, golfing, and cheering on the Denver Nuggets.
