Caley Coughlan, BA

Social Work Intern

Caley Coughlan is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work at the University of Denver, with the goal of becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and has a strong foundation in both research and direct support work, including specialized training in crisis intervention.

Caley’s background spans a diverse range of roles—from mentoring teens in national youth programs to supporting women with developmental disabilities, assisting with child protective investigations, and volunteering as a trained counselor with Crisis Text Line. Her career has consistently centered around helping others feel safe, supported, and empowered. Across settings as varied as educational retreats in Poland, mental health research labs in New York, and county child welfare departments in Colorado, Caley has demonstrated a deep commitment to compassionate, inclusive care.

Caley believes that therapy should be a space where people feel safe enough to explore who they are—and empowered enough to grow into who they want to become.

At Sanare, Caley brings a calm, thoughtful, and relational approach to psychosocial rehabilitation. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, she tailors her support to each client’s unique goals and values. She is especially passionate about helping clients cultivate self-awareness, resilience, and authenticity.

Clients describe Caley as grounded, curious, and emotionally present. She has a gift for holding space in a way that helps others feel both deeply understood and gently challenged to grow.

Outside of her work, Caley enjoys taking long walks with her dogs, reading fiction, and indulging in her favorite reality shows. She believes joy, reflection, and rest are important parts of healing—and brings that spirit into every client relationship.
