Eugenia Halbert, MA, LPC

PSR Therapist

Eugenia Halbert holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from the University of Toledo and a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from the University of Denver. Throughout her academic and professional journey, Eugenia has worked in a wide range of community settings that have shaped her passion for social justice and mental health.

During her time with the Lucas County Probation Department, Eugenia gained firsthand insight into the challenges individuals face within the criminal justice system. She saw how difficult it can be for people to maintain stability while navigating community corrections, and this became the driving force behind her commitment to helping others overcome life’s barriers.

Eugenia later worked with the Harm Reduction Action Center, where she supported individuals experiencing homelessness, mental illness, and substance use. Her time there reinforced the importance of compassion, nonjudgmental care, and meeting people where they are.

Eugenia believes individuals are more likely to maintain a well-balanced life when they have consistent support and meaningful connections with others.

Most recently, Eugenia served as a therapeutic case manager, where she honed her skills in connecting clients with resources, building life skills, and supporting them in achieving greater independence. Her approach is holistic, strengths-based, and deeply rooted in empathy. She believes that with the right support and connection, individuals can make meaningful progress in every area of life.

At Sanare, Eugenia brings her commitment to growth, empowerment, and community into every session. She fosters an environment where clients feel supported, respected, and encouraged to thrive.

Outside of work, Eugenia enjoys listening to music, tackling DIY projects, spending time with her family, and discovering delicious food experiences with her loved ones. She's a strong believer that joy, creativity, and connection are essential parts of healing.
