Nicole Hodges, LCSW, CAS
PSR Therapist
Nicole holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work from Metropolitan State University of Denver and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC), and Auricular Detoxification Specialist. Throughout her clinical career, Nicole has worked in a variety of care settings, experiences that have shaped her strengths-based, trauma-informed, and holistic approach to care.
Nicole began her career in hospice care, inspired by her experience as a hospice volunteer. This work shaped her foundation as a clinician and strengthened her passion for walking alongside individuals and families during some of life’s most vulnerable moments. During this time, she created community-based grief and loss groups, facilitated a monthly Alzheimer’s Association support group, and volunteered in a local memory care community.
She later joined WellPower (formerly the Mental Health Center of Denver) as a Residential Counselor, where she discovered a strong calling to work with individuals experiencing severe and persistent mental illness, chronic houselessness, and complex trauma. In this setting, Nicole supported clients through crisis intervention, group facilitation, conflict resolution, and ongoing psychosocial counseling, always centering safety, dignity, and a person-centered path toward recovery.
Nicole believes being a human being on this planet is complicated, filled with challenges and obstacles, but when we are able to discover the brilliance within ourselves, there’s no greater freedom.
Nicole’s work at The Center for Trauma and Resilience deepened her clinical expertise as a trauma therapist and strengthened her passion for integrating somatic and body-based interventions into treatment. Through this experience, she developed a strong appreciation for creative, relational, and community-centered approaches to healing.
Nicole later returned to hospice care as a medical social worker, where she continued to grow her love of interdisciplinary collaboration while advocating for patient wishes and supporting individuals and families through grief and life transitions.
Her ongoing passion for community-based care and meaningful, relationship-driven work ultimately led her to Sanare, where she is able to focus on psychosocial rehabilitation and support individuals in building lives rooted in connection, stability, and recovery.
On her time off, Nicole enjoys frolicking outside, any kind of arts and crafts, spontaneous dance parties and cooking/baking with her family.
